Uncover Your Hidden Food Allergies

Join Christine Grasso, holistic health and nutrition coach and yoga teacher, on May 16 from 8pm to 9:30pm for a free workshop on “The 5 ‘Healthy’ Foods That Could Be Ruining Your Health.” During the workshop, to be held at Purple Om Yoga studio, 3118 Route 10 West, Denville, Grasso will review the top five food allergens that could be compromising your health, teach participants how to identify their problem foods and discuss some of the common side effects from hidden food allergies. Grasso believes that hidden food sensitivities may be the culprit behind weight-loss resistance.

Studies have shown that 75 percent of people in the U.S. have a food sensitivity of some kind. Common food sensitivity symptoms include stomach or abdominal pain, gas and bloating, diarrhea, constipation, acid reflux, unexplained weight loss or weight gain, irritability, anxiety, fatigue and brain fog, ADD/ADHD, bone and joint pain, skin breakouts, asthma, and sinus congestion.

Grasso supports women struggling with weight loss by identifying their hidden food sensitivities and healing digestive problems to help them lose those stubborn pounds. She now offers food allergy analysis as part of her health coaching programs, using both customized cleanses and IgG food sensitivity blood testing.

As Grasso notes, “Identifying my hidden food allergies was an essential part of healing myself of acid reflux and IBS. It also cleared up my seasonal allergies and congestion so I no longer need to rely on conventional medicines. As part of my healing process, I went from a size 12 to a size 2.”

Preregistration is required by May 14 at PurpleOmYoga.com. Call Christine Grasso at 201-787-4950 or email [email protected] with questions.

5 Top Tips to Finding Your Next Doctor

1 Keep an Open Mind! Healthcare has come a long way. Today, you have access to practitioners that branch outside of traditional medicine and aim to identify the root causes of conditions while using alternative treatments that may help you get the relief you need. Just because it’s not a pill, doesn’t make it pseudoscience.

2 Build Your Health Care Team. There is no one doctor that can be the be-all-end-all for your health needs. Be sure to have a team of practitioners with different “lenses” and areas of expertise who will treat the root cause and not just the symptom(s).

3   Environment Influences Healing. Health is multi-factorial. Your mental and emotional environment plays a pivotal role in your healing potential. Your doctors and their staff should create an office atmosphere filled with positivity so you can get the most out of your care.

4 Your Story Matters.  Before you begin any treatment, be sure to have a comprehensive consultation to discuss your health concerns. Find practitioners who welcome questions and will take the time to listen and treat you with respect.

5 Report of Findings. When it comes to our health, we often make decisions without understanding the risk versus benefits. Knowledge is an important part of the healing process and is essential to make conscious, informed health decisions. Find practitioners who take the time to explain their exam findings and the recommendations for treatment in ways that make sense to you.
