Sharon Reese Chud, AFMC : Functional Medicine Practitioner and Nutritionist

Sharon Reese Chud, founder of SRC Diet and Wellness, is a certified functional medicine practitioner, certified detox and toxicity specialist, and nutrition counselor located in Yardley, Pennsylvania. However, by seeing clients on Zoom, she is available to serve everyone from all over the country. Her approach to client care begins by really listening to her clients and their symptoms to uncover the root cause of what’s is causing their distress.

Following a review of all symptoms and medical history, targeted functional medicine testing kits are sent to the client. These tests may include a GI map to show if there is an overgrowth of bacteria, candida, or parasites in the gut; urine mycotoxin testing to uncover mold mycotoxins; MARCoNS testing to uncover mold colonies; hormone testing to discover imbalances that may be related to symptoms such as insomnia; heavy metal toxin tests; and food intolerance tests.

“Many of my clients are suffering from chronic symptoms but they can’t seem to find out the cause. They may suspect they have fibromyalgia, or some other autoimmune disease such as arthritis or psoriasis,” shares Chud. “They may not be aware that their health declined due to mold from leaks or flooding in their home, or that a recent tick bite is causing their decline in health. Functional medicine goes behind the scenes to look for causes mainstream medicine doesn’t explore.”

Kristen H., a recent client, described her experience working with Chud to heal her condition due to mold biotoxin illness.

“Fatigue, brain fog, skin rashes, breathing issues, daily headaches, anxiety, weight gain, muscle twitching. Those are just a few of the symptoms I was experiencing when doctors told me they couldn’t find anything wrong with me and prescribed anxiety meds. Luckily, I found Sharon. She ran the right tests and diagnosed me with mold illness. I followed her instructions and every single symptom is gone. I feel younger, like myself again, and I never thought I would. She very knowledgeable and she listens and care. If you don’t have your health, you have nothing. Sharon gave me my life back.”

New clients receive a free 20-minute consultation to review symptoms. The treatment process is reasonably priced. Clients usually meet once per month via Zoom as they follow a 6- step treatment plan that includes detoxifying and fixing the organs and systems affected by the toxin or imbalance.

5 Top Tips to Finding Your Next Doctor

1 Keep an Open Mind! Healthcare has come a long way. Today, you have access to practitioners that branch outside of traditional medicine and aim to identify the root causes of conditions while using alternative treatments that may help you get the relief you need. Just because it’s not a pill, doesn’t make it pseudoscience.

2 Build Your Health Care Team. There is no one doctor that can be the be-all-end-all for your health needs. Be sure to have a team of practitioners with different “lenses” and areas of expertise who will treat the root cause and not just the symptom(s).

3   Environment Influences Healing. Health is multi-factorial. Your mental and emotional environment plays a pivotal role in your healing potential. Your doctors and their staff should create an office atmosphere filled with positivity so you can get the most out of your care.

4 Your Story Matters.  Before you begin any treatment, be sure to have a comprehensive consultation to discuss your health concerns. Find practitioners who welcome questions and will take the time to listen and treat you with respect.

5 Report of Findings. When it comes to our health, we often make decisions without understanding the risk versus benefits. Knowledge is an important part of the healing process and is essential to make conscious, informed health decisions. Find practitioners who take the time to explain their exam findings and the recommendations for treatment in ways that make sense to you.
